Giants, Marshall Reach Contract Agreement

The New York Giants and wide receiver Brandon Marshall have reached a 2-year, $12 million contract agreement.

Marshall, 32, has played in the NFL for 11 seasons and has played for 4 different teams. He is coming off of a season in 2016 in which he played in 15 games and caught 59 passes for 788 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns.

Over his 11-year NFL career, Marshall has played in 167 games and caught 941 passes for 12,061 receiving yards and 82 receiving touchdowns. He has also run the ball 20 times for 118 rushing yards.

Marshalls’s career-highs for a single NFL season are 16 games played (2007 with the Denver Broncos, 2011 with the Miami Dolphins, 2012 and 2013 with the Chicago Bears, and 2015 with the New York Jets), 118 receptions (2012 with the Bears), 1,508 receiving yards (2012 with the Bears), 15.0 average receiving yards per reception (2011 with the Dolphins; 15.5 average receiving yards per reception in 2006 with the Broncos does not qualify), 14 receiving touchdowns (2015 with the Jets), 7 rush attempts (2009 with the Broncos), 57 rushing yards (2007 with the Broncos), and 13.0 average rushing yards per rush attempt (2011 with the Dolphins).
