Jaguars To Trade Thomas to Dolphins

The Jacksonville Jaguars will trade tight end Julius Thomas to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2017 7th round NFL Draft pick. The trade will become official on Wednesday, March 9th, 2017, when the new league year begins.

Thomas, 27, has played in the NFL for 5 seasons for 2 different teams. He is coming off of a season in 2016 in which he played in 9 games and caught 30 passes for 281 receiving yards and 4 receiving touchdowns. Over his 5-year NFL career, Thomas has played in 53 games and caught 185 passes for 2,018 receiving yards and 33 receiving touchdowns.

Thomas’ career-highs for a single NFL season are 14 games played (2013 with the Denver Broncos), 65 receptions (2013 with the Broncos), 788 receiving yards (2013 with the Broncos), and 12 receiving touchdowns (2013 and 2014 with the Broncos).
