Casspi Also Involved in Pelicans-Kings Blockbuster Trade

Small forward Omri Casspi was also involved in the blockbuster trade that sent DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans and shooting guards Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, and Langston Galloway as well as two future NBA draft picks, one first round selection and one second round selection, to the Sacramento Kings. Casspi has been traded from the Kings to the Pelicans along with Cousins.

Casspi, 28, has been in the NBA for 8 seasons and has played for 3 different teams. He is coming off of a season in which he played in 69 games and averaged 27.2 minutes per game, 11.8 points per game, 5.9 rebounds per game, 1.4 assists per game, 0.2 blocks per game, and 0.8 steals per game. He shot 48.1% from the field, 40.9% from 3-point range, and 64.8% from the free throw line.

This season, Casspi has played in 22 games and averaged 18.0 minutes per game, 5.9 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 1.2 assists per game, 0.0 blocks per game, and 0.5 steals per game. He is shooting 45.3% from the field, 37.9% from 3-point range, and 57.1% from the free throw line.

Over his 8-year NBA career, Casspi has played in 485 games and averaged 21.6 minutes per game, 8.4 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, 1.2 assists per game, 0.2 blocks per game, and 0.6 steals per game.
