A day after New York Jets’ cornerback Darelle Revis was charged with four felonies, New England Patriots’ wide receiver Michael Floyd has pleaded guilty to extreme DUI after being arrested in December for the incident. Floyd was sentenced to 120 days in jail. He will serve 24 days in jail, 96 days of home detention, and complete 30 hours of community service.
The former first round pick from Notre Dame played for the Arizona Cardinals for five seasons. He totaled 242 receptions for 3,739 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was released by the Cardinals following his arrest and claimed off waivers a day later by the Patriots. He played in two games and totaled 42 yards and a touchdown, but he was not active for Super Bowl LI.
Floyd is set to be a free agent and as of now, it is unclear if the Patriots will resign him.
