Paris Saint-Germain vs Barcelona

Lionel Messi and Barcelona travel to the Parc des Princes to take on PSG in what should be an exciting first round match up. The teams have met five times in past four years. Barcelona have won three out of the last five, and drawn one.

Messi comes into the game leading scoring for the Champions League, with 10 goals in five games. Edinson Cavani leads his team with six goals in six games. Neymar has an outstanding seven assists in five games, as well as tacking on another two goals.

My prediction for this leg of the match up is a 2-1 Barcelona win, with goals from Messi and Neymar for Barcelona, and a Cavani goal for PSG.

Benfica vs Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund will travel to Lisbon to take on defending Primeira Liga champions S.L. Benfica. This will be the first meeting between the two in Champions League play.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has four goals and one assist in 5 games, leading his team. Attacker Eduardo Salvio has racked up three goals and two assists in 6 games played.

My prediction for this fixture is a 3-0 Dortmund win, with a brace for Aubameyang, and another for Marco Reus. If Benfica wants a chance at winning this game they will need to play a strong defense to contain the high-powered Dortmund attack.
