Cavaliers Trade Andersen and Cash to Hornets for Second Round Pick

The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded power forward Chris Anderson and cash to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for a potential second round NBA Draft pick.

Andersen, 38, has been in the NBA for 15 seasons and has played for 5 different teams. He is coming off of a season in which he played in 27 games and averaged 14.9 minutes per game, 3.9 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, 0.4 assists per game, 0.5 blocks per game, and 0.6 steals per game. He shot 52.8% from the field, 28.6% from 3-point range, and 69.4% from the free throw line.

This season, Andersen has played in 12 games and averaged 9.5 minutes per game, 2.3 points per game, 2.6 rebounds per game, 0.4 assists per game, 0.6 blocks per game, and 0.4 steals per game. He is shooting 40.9% from the field, 0.0% from 3-point range, and 71.4% from the free throw line.
