Jabari Parker to Miss 12 Months with Torn Left ACL

Milwaukee Bucks’ power forward Jabari Parker is set to undergo surgery on his torn left ACL and will miss the rest of this NBA season. He suffered the injury in Wednesday’s 106-88 loss at home against the Miami Heat.

Parker, 21, has been in the NBA for 3 seasons, all with the Bucks. He is coming off of a season in which he played in 76 games and averaged 31.7 minutes per game, 14.1 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, 1.7 assists per game, 0.4 blocks per game, and 0.9 steals per game. He shot 49.3% from the field, 25.7% from 3-point range, and 76.8% from the free throw line.

This season, Parker played in 51 games and averaged 33.9 minutes per game, 20.1 points per game, 6.2 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists per game, 0.4 blocks per game, and 1.0 steal per game. He shot 49.0% from the field, 36.5% from 3-point range, and 74.3% from the free throw line.

Over his 3-year NBA career, Parker has played in 152 games and averaged 32.1 minutes per game, 15.8 points per game, 5.6 rebounds per game, 2.1 assists per game, 0.4 blocks per game, and 1.0 steal per game. His career shooting percentages are 49.1% from the field, 34.1% from 3-point range, and 74.8% from the free throw line.
