Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was arrested on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017, for the crime of assaulting police. He reportedly poked a security guard in the eye while refusing to obey law enforcement officers. While being arrested by police, Jones resisted getting into the police car and allegedly kicked and head-butted an officer. According to the jail documents, he also spat on the hand of a nurse while being entered into the Hamilton County Justice Center.
During his booking, Sheriff reportedly stated that Jones was “disorderly and combative.”
The judge of the Hamilton County Justice Center commended Jones to submit a blood test by Wednesday of January 4.
In 2007, Adam Jones was suspended for the entire NFL season after multiple run-ins with the law, but managed to stay out of trouble after that until 2013. As it began to appear that the now-33 year old veteran defender had finally turned his life around, all of that hope has now been flushed down the drain due to this recent crime he committed in a hotel near Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Could this be a sign of his career coming to an end sooner than expected? Only time will tell, but as of now, it sure appears that way.
