NFL Week 14 Injuries

  • i-3Miami Dolphins Quarterback (QB) Ryan Tannehill: After taking a low hit from defensive linemen Calais Campbell, Tannehill suffered a left knee injury and did not return during the game. Early reports stated he tore his ACL, but head coach Adam Gase said it was only an ACL and MCL sprain that will sideline him for a couple of games. The Dolphins did sign quarterback T.J. Yates, who will backup Matt Moore
  • i-22Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford: Stafford dislocated some joints and tore ligaments in his middle finger on his right hand (which is his throwing hand) during the first half. He did play through the game wearing a glove, which he will continue to wear for the rest of the season
  • i-21Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers: Rodgers has been dealing with some issues regarding his right leg, but still played through it in the past two weeks. This time he hurt his calf. Rodgers is currently limited and his status is up in the air
  • i-12San Diego Chargers Running Back (RB) Melvin Gordon:  Suffered a hip injury in the first quarter and head coach Mike McCoy said he has been dealing with a knee injury that would leave him out for this week’s game and possibly the rest of the season depending upon the severity of both injuries
  • i-12San Diego Chargers Defensive End (DE) Joey Bosa: The rookie pass rusher got a hit on Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton but injured himself on the play and did not return with a sustained neck injury. He was tested for a concussion but did not have one and head coach Mike McCoy said he should be ready to play against the Oakland Raiders
  • i-2New York Jets RB Matt Forte: Suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee on Sunday and did not return to the game. The veteran running back said he has been playing with a torn meniscus for a whole year and should not miss the remainder of the season
  • i-18New York Giants RB Shane Vereen: After coming off Injured Reserve (IR) and playing for the first time since his triceps injury, he suffered a concussion and did not return to the game. He is in the concussion protocol. He is considered day-to-day
  • i-17Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles: Not only did Sproles suffer a concussion, running back Wendell Smallwood suffered a right knee injury, leaving Ryan Mathews the only healthy running back during the game. Smallwood was placed on IR and Sproles is day-to-day
