The Seattle Sounders beat Toronto FC in a stunning fashion, with a thriller in penalties, that came down to the last kick. After the game finished 0-0 through 120 minutes, despite quite a few chances from both sides, the teams had a hard-fought penalty shootout, however, Justin Morrow’s missed penalty in sudden death meant it was up to Román Torres to put the game away.

Toronto may have deserved to win, however Stefan Frei had a great performance, and saved 7 shots, whilst Toronto had a total of 19 shots, clearly controlling the game. However, the defense ultimately won the game for the sounders, as they lead in tackles in the game as well as saves.
