Former Baylor Bears quarterback Jarrett Stidham has announced that he will be transferring to play for the Auburn Tigers in the 2017 season. According to Baylor head coach Jim Grobe, Stidham wanted to move on to another school to play football as a quarterback as a starter instead of as a backup when he made his decision to transfer from Baylor back in July.
In the 2015 season as a freshman in relief of injured Baylor starting quarterback Seth Russell, Stidham completed 75 of his 109 passes (68.8% completion rate) for 1,265 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He also ran the ball 36 times for 70 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.
