Cardinals, Fowler Reach Contract Agreement

The St. Louis Cardinals and center fielder Dexter Fowler have reached a contract agreement.

Fowler, 30, has been in the MLB for 9 seasons and has played for 3 different teams. This past season, he played in 125 games and bat .276 with 126 hits, 84 runs scored, 13 home runs, 48 runs batted in, and 13 stolen bases. Over his 9-year MLB career, Fowler has played in 1,064 games and has a .268 batting average with 1,001 hits, 623 runs scored, 78 home runs, 339 runs batted in, and 127 stolen bases.

Fowler’s career highs in a single MLB season are a .300 batting average (2012 with the Colorado Rockies), 149 hits (2015 with the Chicago Cubs), 102 runs scored (2015 with the Cubs), 17 home runs (2015 with the Cubs), 53 runs batted in (2012 with the Rockies), and 27 stolen bases (2009 with the Rockies).
