The San Diego Chargers are expected to relocate to Los Angeles, California, in the 2017 season. They are expected to exercise the option that they were granted during an NFL owners’ meeting in January when they approved the relocation of the Rams to Los Angeles. The deadline for exercising the option is Sunday, January 15th, 2017.
The stadium where the Chargers will play in Los Angeles before their new stadium that they will share with the Los Angeles Rams is ready will be up for discussion come the NFL owners’ meeting in Dallas later this month, but two things are for sure. One is the fact that if they do relocate, they will no longer call Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California, their home. The other is that they will be sharing a home stadium with the Rams.
