After taking over as the interim head coach of the Louisiana State Tigers following Les Miles’ firing, Ed Orgeron has now been promoted to the head coaching position of the team.
In seven games as the interim head coach this season, Orgeron led the Tigers to a 5-2 record and helped them to become bowl eligible for the 17th consecutive season.
In his other four seasons of being an NCAA football head coach, Orgeron has led his teams to a 16-27 record. From the 2005 season through the 2007 season, he led the Mississippi Rebels to a 10-25, and in the 2013 season, he led the Southern California Trojans to a 6-2 record.
