Ex-NFL safety Darren Sharper was sentenced 20 years in prison by a Los Angeles judge for drugging two women and raping another two women in four different states. I had previously reported in August when Sharper was sentenced 18 years in prison by a New Orleans judge.
Sharper was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1997, played eight seasons with them and recorded 36 interceptions, 616 tackles, six sacks, and five touchdowns. He then signed with the Minnesota Vikings and played four seasons with them. Lastly, he signed with the New Orleans Saints and played one season with them. Although some teams showed interest in him, none of them gave Sharper a contract. In the end, he announced his retirement after 14 seasons.
He was previously charged in Louisiana, Nevada, and Arizona. It is unclear where he will serve his sentence since has he has four of them.
