Vinatieri’s Record Field Goal Streak Ends at 44

Indianapolis Colts’ kicker Adam Vinatieri missed his first field goal in 45 attempts in the 2nd quarter of Sunday’s 24-17 home victory against the Tennessee Titans. His miss came on a 42-yard attempt that sailed wide right.

Vinatieri, 43, had not missed a field goal since week 2 of last season on September 21st, 2015, when his Colts lost at home to the New York Jets by a score of 20-7. His streak of 44 consecutive field goals made was the longest in NFL history.

Baltimore Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker now has the longest active streak of made field goals having converted on his last 30 attempts.
