One of the best things about the NFL is seeing guys go out on the field and play not just for the money, but for their love of football. More often than not, you can see the passion that the players have for the game. But former Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis has said that passion is not something he saw from his former quarterback.
“Gifted? Absolutely. Passionate about what he does? I’ve never seen that. I don’t know what that looks like,” Lewis stated about Joe Flacco.
“It’s something that I’ve always dealt with. It’s my personality. When things are going well, people are asking why it’s a good thing. When things aren’t going well, they want to question you and different parts of your game. I’m not going to sit here and talk too much about it. It is what it is. Ray can think what he thinks. I’m here to lead these guys, keep us on top and keep us moving forward,” Flacco said when asked about what his former teammate said about him.
There are players that openly show their love for the game more than others, but I can’t see a guy who has led his team to a Super Bowl victory having no passion for the game.
