The Indiana Pacers played their first game of the season against the Dallas Mavericks tonight. The Pacers won a close game at home at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in overtime by a score of 130–121.
The leading scorer for the Pacers was center Myles Turner. The second-year star out of Texas put up 30 points and 16 rebounds in his first game of the season, making it one top games of his career. If he keeps playing like this every single game, there’s no doubt that he could be the NBA MVP this season, but let’s be realistic. It is close to impossible to play at that high of a level every single game.
The next game for the Indiana Pacers is against the Brooklyn Nets in Brooklyn at the Barclay’s Center on Friday at 8:30 PM EDT. The next game for the Dallas Mavericks is against the Houston Rockets in Dallas at the American Airlines Center on Friday night at 8:30 PM EDT.
We shall see over the next few games which team, the Pacers or the Mavericks, will be doing better, but we will not know for sure until the next game they play against each other on December 9th in Dallas.
