After a disappointing 1-4 start to their season, the defending NFC Champion Carolina Panthers are regaining their all-pro quarterback. Cam Newton has been cleared to play after missing last week’s game with a concussion.
The Panthers clearly needed him in their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as their offense struggled all game. They are playing the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in another pivotal divisional matchup.
With the Atlanta Falcons playing very well, this is almost a must-win game for Carolina. Newton needs to have a great game if they want to win. Kelvin Benjamin and Jonathan Stewart are both listed as questionable, and Newton needs to make some big plays in the air and on the ground to get a win.
Although it’s still early in the season, Cam Newton and the Panthers need to play really well the rest of the season if they want to make the playoffs.
