Clancy’s Game of The Week:

Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City

Derby day saw Manchester United and Manchester City both come into the game  undefeated. It was a thrilling match until the end, as Iheanacho scored his first Derby goal, and De Bruyne shined against his former manager, Jose Mourinho, who was known to be rather disrespectful to De Bruyne during his time at Chelsea. Manchester United, although losing, showed various specs of greatness, as well as completely controlling the second half. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 4th goal, and the team’s only goal this game.

Other Notable Games:

Liverpool 4-1 Leicester City

Liverpool: Firmino (13′,89′), Mane (31′), Lallana (56′)

Leicester City: Vardy (38′)

The Premier League champions continued their poor form this week against Liverpool, who came out strong and ready to play. An early goal really took it out of Leicester, and they were only able to get one back in the absolute thrashing by Liverpool.

Arsenal 2-1 Southampton

Arsenal: Koscielny (29′), Cazorla (90+4′)

Southampton: Cech (OG) (18′)

An early mistake wasn’t going to stop Arsenal from taking this game, as they pulled back from a one goal deficit, caused by their own teammate. Koscielny tied it up on a bicycle kick from just on the box, and Arsenal won it in the last minutes of the game with a goal from Cazorla.

Everton 3-0 Sunderland

Everton: Lukaku (60′,68′,71′)

Sunderland: N/A

The highlight of this match was obviously Lukaku’s hat trick, which came in just 11 minutes. This hat trick is one of the fastest in Premier League history, and ended Lukaku’s 11 game goal drought.
