Transfer News: Weekly Recap

As you may have noticed, the title of the series has changed, and this will also be the last in the series until transfer talk starts back up again in March-April(ish). I have changed it to transfer news as no more transfer rumors will be taking place (obviously).

West Ham Blocks Deadline Day Move?

Slaven Bilic has reportedly blocked a late move for Obiang from Fiorentina. Obiang, who was transferred from Sampdoria last season, did not see much first team action this season, and Fiorentina was hoping to capitalize on that. Fiorentina offered to loan out the 24-year-old, before paying a future fee of £4.6m. However, the Hammers were being stubborn and would not accept the bid without a loan fee, and before they knew it, deadline day had ended.

Tottenham Deadline Day Signing!

Moussa Sissoko has been signed by Tottenham for €35m on deadline day. Newcastle accepted the bid, and the French man confirmed on his twitter that he would be joining the Spurs. Perhaps one of the most outrageous moves of deadline day, and the transfer window for that matter. It was a tight battle between Everton and Tottenham, but with Moussa refusing to even answer a phone call from Ronald Koeman.

Pulisic Going Nowhere!

Pulisic’s dad has confirmed that Pulisic is not and was not planning to go anywhere before the deadline ended. Pulisic was linked to multiple clubs, including Liverpool. The American starlet has continued to perform at top-level, as he made his way into the first team at the young age of just 17. Christian has a bright future ahead of him, and it seems like he will be staying at the club that really got him going for another year.
