The Milwaukee Bucks announced Saturday that they have signed draft picks Thon Maker and Malcolm Brogdon.
Maker was the 10th overall draft pick this year. The 19-year-old played 2 seasons for the Athlete Institute Academy, located in Mono, Ontario, and he was named league MVP last season. Originally from South Sudan, the 7-foot-1-inch Maker earned All-NBA Summer League 2nd Team Honors this summer, averaging 14.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks over the course of 5 NBA Summer League games.
The 23-year-old Brogdon averaged 18.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game as a senior in his fourth season at Virginia. He also became the first player in history to earn both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year for the ACC in 2015-16.
