Point guard Jeremy Lin, who played for the Charlotte Hornets this past season, is going into free agency. In my opinion, the Indiana Pacers should target him free agency. He would be a great pick up for their team. He would be a great backup point guard for their new starting point guard, Jeff Teague. Teague, the former Atlanta Hawks point guard who grew up in Indiana, was recently involved in a 3-team trade with the Pacers, the Hawks, and the Utah Jazz.
Jeremy Lin has also proven that he is a good shooter. He averaged 41.2% shooting from the field and 33.6% from beyond the arc this past season. Lin can also move the ball around, as he averaged 3.0 assists per game this past season. Overall, I think Lin would fit in well with the Pacers’ lineup and would just make the Pacers a little bit better. Also, in my opinion, Lin would be the perfect person to push the Pacers over the hump in the first round of the playoffs.
